Today I want to tell you about Masquerade: Hell Academy, the next Boys Love visual novel title from JAST BLUE. All the images in this entry are promotional images used in magazines and on postcards when the game was originally released; most of the content within the game itself is far too spicy to show here (make sure you’re logged in when you go to look at the preorder page at JAST USA, or you’ll miss most of the CGs!).
The quiet Numata Hiroshi is being blackmailed by his classmate, Himehara Yoritake, into performing sexual acts for him. One day, Himehara orders Numata to steal the exam answers off the teacher's desk, which sets off a chain of events culminating in the two men being among the captives taken by a criminal impersonating a police officer.
Their captor demands increasingly depraved acts from his hostages, and if they're going to survive, they have no choice but to comply...
Masquerade: Hell Academy pulls no punches. It’s from PIL/SLASH, the same developer that gave us Paradise, and if you thought Paradise pushed the boundaries, you haven’t seen anything yet. Masquerade: Hell Academy offers the same dark, edgy BL visual novel experience that JAST BLUE is known for.
Because it’s so sexually explicit, and the original Japanese version had mosaics, PIL/SLASH has done an enormous amount of work in re-drawing CGs so everything’s on display. This game is a feast for the eyes.
There actually are several sweet romance endings possible in this game, despite the intense premise and the extreme nature of some of the content. If you play your cards right (this game has a lot of choices) Numata may end up as part of a happy couple with one of his fellow hostages.
Of course, they have to make it through the night first…
